Plasmacytoma is a rare B-lymphocyte neoplastic disorder that usually presents as the generalized disease multiple myeloma. Less than 5% of the cases present as a solitary mass of monoclonal plasma cells in the bone or soft tissue. Although solitary extramedullary plasmacytoma (SEP) may arise in any organ, it rarely involves the urinary bladder. A 67-year-old male without a history of multiple myeloma presented with urinary frequency and nocturia; he was later diagnosed with SEP of the bladder. The patient was initially treated with a course of radiation therapy without symptomatic improvement; therefore a chemotherapy regimen consisting of lenalidomide and dexamethasone was subsequently given for six cycles. Abstract A 74-year-old female was referred to our hospital for non-muscle invasive bladder tumors initially treated at another hospital.
Preoperatively, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated non-muscle invasive bladder tumors and a vaginal
tumor. A second transurethral resection of the bladder tumors, transvaginal tumor resection, and systemic chemotherapy were
performed. The histopathological appearances of both tumors were very similar and the diagnoses were urothelial carcinoma
(UC). The pathogenesis of the vaginal UC was considered to be the primary UC or metastasis from the bladder UC. Vaginal UC
is extremely rare and this is only the 15th report in the literature.

CONCLUSIONS: TURP resulted in a better and more prolonged response to hormone therapy in mHSPC, with a trend towards positive influence in disease specific survival and overall survival. To date, our preliminary report is the first study regarding long-term survival of cytoreductive surgery in mHSPC, and further investigations are warranted.
